Call for Christmas Film Recommendations

I will try to make it concise and clear.

On December 25, I would like to make a holiday post, consisting of your film recommendations. This list will have a title Christmas in Genres. That's how it works. Every contributor picks a genre and chooses a film, somehow connected to the holiday and belonging to the genre he or she has chosen. They email me the title and one or two sentences about it beforehand, so that I could assemble all contributions into one post on Christmas Day.

They make so many films of different genres about Xmas that I think it won't be a problem.

Here is the list of genres:

Action
Adventure
Animation
Biography
Classic
Comedy
Crime
Documentary
Drama
Family
Fantasy
Film-Noir
Foreign
History
Horror
Music
Musical
Mystery
Romance
Sci-Fi
Short
Sport
Thriller
War
Western

Once you pick a genre you would like to recommend a film of, drop me a line to eternityofdream@gmail.com As soon as I get your email, I will edit this post and will strikethrough the genre you have chosen. I would also appreciate it, if you share with me in the email the film that you are going to write a tiny recommendation about because many movies belong to several genres, and I would love it, if we don't have repetitions. Don't worry if your film pick is too famous or too unknown. It doesn't matter.

Don't hesitate to take part! All I ask from you is a recommendation and a couple of sentences.

Please let others know about my call for Christmas recommendations. It is the first time I do such a thing and I would love to make it happen! Thank you.

IMPORTANT: please don't write your recommendations under this post. I guess it would be more fun, if we see what we get in the ultimate list only when it is out. Besides, then everyone can comment on what Xmas films they love.

  1. I can think of the perfect film, but to most (probably me included, I guess), it can be considered a 'hilariously bad film' and not an actual good one.

Is it okay if I still send in this suggestion to you?

  3. Oh, that's easy. There's only one Xmas movie that everyone has to see that is an action film.

Die Hard. You can't get any better than that. It's pretty much the best action film ever made.

  7. I'll send mine through, but I'm not sure if it really fits the genre. In my mind it does, but I'll leave that up to you for the final decision :)
