Call for Paris in Genres Recommendations

Hi everyone! I'm sure some of you remember the Christmas in Genres event and I invite you to participate in another one that will honor your favorite films that feature this beautiful city on the Seine, the City of Lights, Paris. To see what Christmas in Genres was like, just click on the link.

What will Paris in Genres be like?

It'll be a list of your recommendations of films about Paris or set in Paris. One film for one genre. And a few sentences that you would like to say about your choice.

Why did I choose Paris?

It's a beautiful city and there are tons of good movies about it.

Why would you like to participate?

Because it's easy and fun. And it's very satisfying to read the ultimate post, written by so many people.

Guidelines

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY. It'll make the process much easier for participants and me!

1. Think of a film you would like to recommend. Define its genre/-s for yourself.

2. Look for the genre in the list below and check if it's available. Taken genres will be strikethrough. Keep in mind that the majority of films belong to a few genres, so if let's say you pick a fantasy comedy, and fantasy is taken, while comedy is not, we can figure it out.

3. Drop me an email (eternityofdream@gmail.com) ASAP, asking if the film you have chosen hadn't been picked by someone else. Please don't write your recommendations before you get a response from me! Last time it was disappointing for me to tell some people that films were already taken. So don't rush.

4. I confirm that your film and genre are available. If not, you choose a different movie. I also ask you to not share your picks in the comments here, so that it'll be more interesting to read the final post.

5. You can be sending me your written recommendation (a few lines about the film) till June 29, 2012. It means you have three weeks to complete it. However, don't forget that with >20 genres, the post will turn out enormous, so your submission shouldn't be very long. Feel comfortable writing it though.

6. Along with your recommendation send me your name or pen name or whatever and the website/blog if you have one and would like to share it.

7. The final Paris in Genres post will be online on July 1, 2012.
