Speechless Blogathon: Links

Hi there everyone! I would like to apologize for delay and to thank everyone who participated. Also, thanks to those who mentioned that they were writing their pieces in the terms of the blogathon and did that on time (unlike your dreadful host). The aim of Speechless Blogathon, which took place from 16 to 18 of August, was to encourage bloggers to watch a silent film that they have never watched and to write something up about it.

Participants and their great dedicated work:

If you haven't noticed your link in the list, please, leave it in the comments below and I'll add it. Some of you shared links under different posts here, and I'm not sure that I collected all of them.

I believe that it's a pretty impressive list of writings, especially with the present audiences that are not too excited about silent films. Although I messed it up a bit with this blogathon, I'm truly happy that people still watch "speechless" classics and are ready to tackle challenges like this blogathon.

Also, special kudos and thanks to The Devil's Manor and Film Flare bloggers, who created  awesome event banners for their websites. And of course, I'm really grateful that many of you guys used the banners that I created — your promotion played a great part, since I discovered some totally new to me blogs, willing to take part. And they, probably, found the blogathon via your banners.

I congratulate everyone who took part with being passionate and devoted fans of the silver screen. Enjoying the contemporary motion pictures, let’s not forget the dawn of our favorite art.

Did you enjoy watching a silent film for a change, if you are not that familiar with the silent era? Are you going to explore it now? Seasoned silent movie fans, what did you think of other peoples' picks of films?

  2. I'm enjoying reading other people's writing. It's great to see such overwhelming surprise and love for these films. It's an era that I adore and I'm really happy that your blogathon has opened a few more eyes to the joy that silent cinema can bring.

  3. I'm still reading other blogger's takes on these films. I now have a great respect for Chaplin and want to watch more silent film works. I can't wait to be in another blogathon. This was fun!

  4. There are some fun pieces in here. Great idea for a blogathon. Sorry I could not participate. Things out there in the so-called real world got a bit too hectic recently so I ended up having to bail. I am sure I will join in on any future fun. Again, great blogathon.

  5. I saw Nosferatu years ago and I have to say he is the MOST scary Dracula ever!

Hope you are doing ok Lesya?
